SALE OF EXCESS LAND BY PUBLIC AUCTION

Sealed bids will be received for the sale of land hereinafter described by the County of Cook, Real Estate Management Division, at the Cook County Administration Building, 69 W. Washington St., Chicago, IL 60602, Room 1060, on Monday July 31, 2006 no later than 3:00 p.m.

DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY TO BE SOLD: Subject property located at 1340 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago, IL. is a seven story commercial building situated on interior land site containing ± 14,804 square feet. (Permanent Index Numbers: 17-22-104-022 and 023)

MINIMUM BID AMOUNT: $ 4,000,000.00

Bids for an amount less than the Minimum Bid will not be accepted. The successful bidder must complete and submit the “Bidder’s Proposal” portion of the “Information for Bidders,” together with a certified or cashier’s check or money order in the amount of the Bid Deposit made payable to the County of Cook. The County of Cook reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive technicalities. Each bidder should inspect the Property prior to submitting a bid.

The County of Cook, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the regulations of the Illinois Department of Transportation, Chapter 49, C.F.R.
(Part 21) issued pursuant to such Act, and in accordance with Cook County ordinances, will affirmatively insure the acceptance of any bid pursuant to this notice or advertisement will be without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin.
